Who doesn't love freebies or cheap deals especially in the summer when the kids are home and you need to keep them entertained?
CMX Cinemas Grove and Zephyrhills Cinema are both participating in Fun Summer Movies for the kids this year.
As a tradition when my children were young, every summer the movie excitement would begin by one of the children asking if they could get a snack box when we arrived.
I could hear their little feet scurry through the house to find their shoes before we were late. Of course, this was a miracle in itself since any other day it would take an hour to find just one of their shoes. Their super speedy morning routine wasn't just reserved for an unknown movie.
This dash to the car scene was even for movies they were able to recite 90% of the lines to.
Let's face it, as adults, we watch our favorite movies over and over ... so it was never a surprise to me when they would be ready to go see Shrek for the 5th time!
It is something about the movie theater that we crave... maybe it is the smell of the popcorn, the dim lights or the big screen. I am not sure. I do know that I will be looking forward to June and pretty soon I will look forward to the Summer movies even more!
Many of you know my children are now young adults and I have my first grandbaby on the way. If you didn't know... you do now... and I do want to clarify that I am only 40...well...42...Oh, OKAY...44 years YOUNG.
As a 44-year-old, and soon to be grandmother, I am just as excited for the day I get to bring my grandchild to the summer movies. Can you relate?
